Video Explain’s Toilet Made from Poo!

London based design student, Virginia Gardener has created a toilet that is not only made out of poo, but it also bio-degrades the poo and uses all the poo for all sorts of constructive things, without the use of water. Kudos go to Mark Dawson for a snappy video that demonstrates and explains the idea with the added benefit of exposing the viewer to Gardener’s very pleasant on-screen personae. We sure are glad for people who care, like Gardner, and for people like Dawson who introduce us to them. Great work guys!

Update on Saxon Mills’ Spy Thriller

leave a comment »

On Monday and Tuesday the team hit the country side filming scenes from our upcoming spy-thriller The Oligarch Duplicity. Most of the locations stand in for Rome and Tuscany as well as the Black Sea. Utilizing elves and magic, McLaughlin Vinyards stand in for places in Tuscany, Long Island Sound stands in for the Black Sea, and Good Food Fast provides a location worthy of Hollywood. Additionally, the home of musician Tracy James provides Tuscan exteriors for the safehouse.

About TMTGirls: The Oligarch Duplicity
Kathryn Bale (Kathryn Fumie) is a famous reporter. Secretly, her twin sister takes all the dangerous assignments. The series opens when her twin sister goes missing. The Oligarch Duplicity is scheduled for release on September 1, 2009 and will be released weekly through February 2, 2010. The entire series will be released uninterrupted and uncut on DVD and streaming online at a later, as yet undetermined, date.

Hayden Black Interview – Part One

leave a comment »

This is part one of my interview with Hayden Black of Goodnight Burbank, Abigail’s Teen Diary, and the upcoming Cabonauts. In this interview he talks a bit about what it means to “go viral” and the journey his work has taken since launching Goodnight Burbank in March 2006. He is both a gentleman and hilariously funny. It was a pleasure to interview him.

Interview with Steve Pick from CELTX

with 2 comments

I had the pleasure of meeting Steve Pick from Celtx at the CT Film Festival and learned more about their product, which Saxon Mills used for the pre-production of The Oligarch Duplicity (due in Sept 2009). It’s a great tool and it’s free; definitely worth trying out. For a small fee there are a number of enhanced collaboration tools, etc. Take a look and get to meet one of the really excellent people from this company in Newfoundland.

Screen Shot of Entry to aSiteAboutSomething.com

Tonight Press Forward Publications will launch aSiteAboutSomething.com. Promotional material of the site describe it this way: “Over two years in the making by a small coalition of the willing, talented and inspired and an even smaller budget, the site promotes the diverse novels and songs of Richard Geller.”

Coinciding with the launch of the website, Saxon Mills has produced a music video of one of Richard’s songs. “Wishing” is a song about people helping each other during hard times. It was my pleasure to work with Richard and the team of actors and filmmakers to realize a vision for a video with a powerful message. Releasing this video during what we hope is the bottom of the recession; we are curious to see if the piece touches a note with people, if people hear a call to action. The text “help where you can” flashes on screen at the end of the video.

Whether “Wishing” becomes a large commercial success, or remains an inspiration to a few, we wish Richard Geller and his team much success with their innovative approach to online, viral, and social marketing of Richard’s books and songs.
